On this page, we’d like to post memories from friends and family that bring comfort and encouragement to all of us. Nathan touched our lives in so many ways. We are thankful for the 25 years that we had him here with us. Every story, memory or picture shared with us now is so special and appreciated more than we can express. Feel free to add them to the comments section at the bottom of the page or if you’d like to share them with us privately, please email them to glhouse@gmail.com.

In July of 2015, Nathan decided to buy a motorcycle. First, he took a motorcycle riding course at our local community college (CVCC) and meticulously purchased the best safety gear possible. After buying the bike, he enjoyed riding in the mountains of Virginia. The picture below is his “selfie” from his ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway. After deciding to sell his business and take a coast-to-coast road trip, he sold the bike. Gary and I remember that day well. It was cold and rainy, but Nathan rode all the way to Washington, D.C., (stopping once at a Dollar General Store to buy long underwear and warm socks!) with us following him to give him a ride home. He delivered the bike to the new owner. We ate dinner together in the D.C. area before heading home.
